GD 295 Final Presentation

This project presents a conceptual campus initiative designed to address student food insecurity through a human-centered design approach. Using ethnographic research, observational insights, and problem-framing methods, I explored the logistical and emotional challenges students face when accessing consistent, nutritious meals. The outcome, Volunteer Now MSU, is a student-led nonprofit model that connects volunteers, campus partners, and local businesses to provide flexible meal support. The project emphasizes empathy-driven design, visual communication, and systems thinking, translating research findings into a cohesive service concept, brand identity, and user experience framework. This work reflects my ability to merge research, strategy, and design to propose solutions grounded in real student needs.
